A Tin Full of Tomorrows

At night
in thunderstorms
in the balcony full of potted Philodendrons
pregnant and big
she shudders
cowers
sobs
and bleeds.

At other times
you could hear her scream
but that’s only
Tinnitus in her ears
you know, that noise within.

Last night
I heard her again
when I pressed my ear to the wall
she doesn’t wish for death, she said,
and likes to go for walks.
She also likes the colours pink and white
Walt Whitman
and Snickers Bar.

Wow! This was fabulous!

I can almost imagine her.

Walt Whitman and Snickers Bars.

Black holes and revelations.

i might be totally wrong here, but i sense a deep sense of pain behind this poem. the girl in the poem fights for life even when the world seems to have given up on her. She wants to hold on to the happiness and live every moment..

she feels like a hero to me.

PS: thanx a ton for the kind words at my blog. i am blogrolling you :)
